Muskie Club members test their DrinkIQ with Diageo
On May 27th members of the Muskie Club and other alumni of international exchanges were invited to the office of Diageo - world leading premium drinks business - to participate in the interactive DrinkIQ program that describes the principles of responsible drinking.
Alcohol has been a part of life and history for centuries, and it occupies a prominent role in social and professional interactions. However, it is not a secret that many people tend to underestimate alcohol's influence on one's personal, professional and social life, and alcohol abuse is one of the hardest problems in our country.
DrinkIQ program was designed by Diageo to inform consumers about the consequences of irresponsible drinking, and offer suggestions on how to minimize risks associated with excessive alcohol consumption. DrinkIQ dispels many popular myths about alcoholic drinks that exist in many countries and offers participants practical instructions on how to avoid unpleasant effects of alcohol and take the most out of the fun that is associated with drinking alcoholic beverages.
Participants of the program had a chance to get answers to many controversial questions about alcohol and reevaluate their attitudes towards alcohol consumption. DrinkIQ demonstrated how important it is to make right decisions in situations that involve alcohol, and take all precautions to prevent ourselves and those around us from possible danger that can arise when we "had a little bit too much".
DrinkIQ is an interactive program available to anyone who wants to learn more about responsible alcohol consumption at www.drinkiq.com .
