Short description of the project
With this project we aim to enable Georgian and Russian participants to deal more effectively with issues of conflict and conflict
transformation in a multi-cultural youth work context. The Seminar will specifically focus on analyzing conflicts, how they relate to
specific youth work contexts, particularly those of a multi-cultural nature and at the relevance of developing intercultural approaches to
conflict transformation.
The objectives of seminar
- to exchange and raise awareness of participants about the different levels on which conflict can occur / inter – national,
between groups, organizational, etc;
- to help participants reflect on the competence needed for using different tools to develop common understanding for conflict
transformation;
- participants about the conditions under which conflicts arise in multi-cultural to use the multi-cultural group youth work
contexts and in the wider society;
- of participants as a learning space on individual roles and competencies in to provide participants with a platformürelation to
conflict transformation;
- for exchange on best practices in relation to youth work and conflict;
- to familiarize the participants with commonly used terminology transformation, and its language
Methodology
The seminar will be designed as a mutual learning situation, where participants can experience and compare different approaches to
conflict transformation and intercultural learning in youth work. Participants will be called upon to use their creative potential to
experiment in the context of the working methods proposed by the CoE. Contributions from experts will help to create the theoretical and practical framework in which participants will reflect upon existing concepts and approaches to conflict transformation
Profile of the participants and recruitment procedure
Representatives of youth organization and networks, international NGOs, Human right activists, governmental services and other partners will be selected for this training course. All candidates should have a specific practical experience in the field of conflict issues work and be working in or with multi-cultural youth work settings, inter-community projects, development projects, or in another relevant
field.
Age range: 15 – 30

From EU countries: 2, / Russian Federation: 10, / Belarus: 1, Ukraine: 1, / Georgia: 14
Follow up to the meeting
During the seminar will be proposed open space technology for participants to develop ideas and continue the work, and follow up
will be implemented joint projects afterwards
Accommodation
Board and lodging will be provided by YAD for the whole duration of the seminar. The Hotel PRIM-G, 31 Rustaveli Str., Bakuriani , Georgia (close to Borjomi).

Participants need to come to Tbilisi (capital of Georgia ), form where they will be transported to the place of destination.
Languages
The official working language of the forum will be ENGLISH, but participants will allowed expressing themselves in Russian /unofficial translation will be provided/.
Insurance
Participants are asked to have their own insurance for the duration of the seminar for accident, civil liability or illness. The organizers
do not cover insurance costs.
Travel reimbursement
Travel cost of all participants will be reimbursed at 70% (the maximum amount of reimbursement: for Russian 70% of 400€ for UE members 70% of 450€), based on the original tickets, invoices and all travel related tickets. Participants are expected to travel by bus or train only second class or by plane in economic class.
Before purchasing your tickets, please consult with the organizers upon the travel costs.
The seminar can take place when participants make an effort to contribute financially to their travel costs. Therefore, we kindly ask
you to use any alternative possibilities of funding that can cover travel costs. Sometimes your sending organizations or structures would
effort to cover the travel costs or you may identify small local grants to contribute for the travel cost. We would appreciate very
much your help.
Visa arrangements
For the participant from Russian visa will cost 60n GEL /around 28 EUR/.
Visa reimbursement will be done during the seminar.
Enrolment fee
An enrolment fee of 10 Euros is payable by each participant. This amount will be deducted from the amount to be
reimbursed for travel expenses or paid at the YAD during the forum.
