Muskie Club - Alumni Association of International Educational Programs - is an independent, non governmental and membership based organization. Muskie Club was founded in October 2006 by an initiative group of alumni. The core of the groups are graduates of the Edmund Muskie Graduate Fellowship program (http://www.irex.org/programs/muskie) but the Club membership is open to alumni of other international educational programs.
The mission of the Club is to unite alumni of educational programs into a vibrant, sustainable and influential community in Russia and beyond. The primary goal of the Club is to contribute to the alumni's personal, professional and social development using best practices, resources and valuable relationships each member of the Club has access to. The goal is achieved through regular events and activities organized by the Club aiming
- to facilitate networking and individual professional development,
- to develop relationships with governments, civil society, the media and business leaders
- to provide access to valuable information, financial, human and organizational resources available for alumni
- to provide opportunity to be socially responsible and to give back to the community
- to engage individuals into informal interaction and provide opportunities to learn from each other
- to contribute to fostering better relations between Russia and the USA as well as with other countries of the world
The most valuable resource of the Muskie Club is its members. It is crucial for us to take every action to support the members.
